2025 Bathroom Tile Trends Frisco & North DFW Homeowners Are Obsessed With
By Frisco TileWorks - December 2026
If you’re planning a bathroom remodel in Frisco, Prosper, Little Elm, or Plano for the new year, you’re probably wondering what’s hot in tile right now. We’ve been installing showers and floors across DFW for years, and these are the 6 trends our clients can’t stop requesting in 2025.
1. Warm Earth Tones Are Taking Over (Goodbye Cold Gray!)
The all-gray bathroom is officially out. Homeowners are switching to warm beiges, creamy travertines, soft terracottas, and sandy taupes.
Most popular right now:
• Wood-look porcelain in “Driftwood” and “Honey Oak” tones
• Matte-finish 12×24 porcelain that looks like limestone but costs half as much
These colors make Frisco bathrooms feel warmer and pair perfectly with brass or matte-black fixtures.
2. Large & Extra-Large Format Tiles (24×48 and 24×52 are the new normal)
We’re installing more 24×48 and even 24×52 rectangles than ever before. Fewer grout lines = cleaner look and faster cleaning.Pro tip: Large-format tiles on shower walls + heated floors underneath = luxury that feels custom but doesn’t break the bank.
3. Textured & 3D Wall Tiles (Especially in Niches and Accent Walls)
Flat white subway tile is still popular, but the accent wall or shower niche is where people are going bold.2025 favorites we’re installing weekly:
• Fluted / reeded tiles (vertical ribs)
• Moroccan fish-scale mosaics in sage green or blush
• 3D wave tiles behind floating vanities
4. Matte Black + Brass Accents with Dark Grout
Dark grout (charcoal or black) with white or light tiles is still huge, no more stained-looking light grout! Pair it with matte-black Schluter edges and brass fixtures and you get that high-end boutique-hotel look everyone wants.5. Terrazzo Is Back — But Smarter
Real terrazzo is expensive and heavy. The new terrazzo-look porcelain tiles give you the same speckled vibe for a fraction of the price and weight. We’re putting these on floors, shower walls, and even entire shower pans in new builds in Prosper and Celina.
6. Wood-Look Tile Everywhere (Even Shower Walls!)
Yes, you can now put wood-look porcelain on shower walls and floors — 100% waterproof and zero maintenance. The newest lines from Italy look so real that customers swear it’s actual hardwood until they touch it.Ready to Update Your Bathroom For The New Year?
